Spice VAS Africa – Creating a platform for artists and record labels to expose their content to a wider subscriber base through our VAS platforms.
Spice Vas Africa has licensed the content of more than 600 artists across the African Continent on an exclusive basis, with artists such as Mi Casa, Bahati Bukuku, Diamond, Bebe Cool to mention a few, and have partnered with record labels such as EMI, Soul Candi, Universal, Select Museik, RMD and Ghetto Ruff to maximize the artists’ exposure across Africa through the digital space.
Spice mobile platforms create additional revenue streams for the artists and record labels, aside from the traditional ways of generating revenues from live performances and CD sales.
One of Spice’s home grown artists is Cinderella Sanyu, a Ugandan Afro-Beat singer and song writer who begun her solo career with the chart topping debut album ‘Ayokyayokya’ in 2009 and forever continued to yield chart topping hits including her recent ‘Amateeka’ hit single, Total Satisfaction, and Mungu Bwasalawo amongst others.
Through Spice’s engagements with Cindy, she was able to gain exposure across African countries in which Spice operates such as Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Nigeria, Rwanda and her native country Uganda, to mention a few.
Cindy’s music was accessed and promoted on Spice’s various technology platforms which included OBD’s and SMS’s to end user mobiles phones. Spice Uganda has also recorded Cindy’s voice for promotions that run in different countries.
Spice’s flagship product, Mobile Radio, which was white labeled with MTN called MTN Radio, has expanded Cindy’s content to its subscriber base giving her exposure in the digital space.
At Spice we offer the right environment for mobile users to experience the value in mobility and music; in collaboration with our vast operator partners across Africa we create a platform for artists and record labels to expose their content to a wider subscriber base on our VAS services.
Spice has an immense diversity of genres across multiple artists in Africa such as gospel, hip hop, jazz, pop, reggae, Bongo Flavor and Afrikaans, Electro and many more.
